In celebration of Veterans Day, we asked our team members and healthcare partners to reflect on what Veterans Day means to them.
Some of these individuals served themselves, some have family members that serve, and some treat patients that served. No matter their personal stories, all of them believe it is an important day to thank and celebrate those who sacrificed their lives to serve our country.

“There are a few simple words that run deeper than the individual words themselves; Honor, Pride, all wrapped in a special package brother/sisterhood that current and former veterans share. I’m incredibly honored to have served this great nation, in times of peace and conflict. Please keep those who continue to protect this amazing country in your thoughts and prayers, because we still volunteer someone’s son or daughter to keep us all safe.”

“Veterans Day is a special day for me to remember the men and women that I served alongside who also chose to dedicate part or all of their professional careers to protect our freedom and this great country. We live in the greatest country on earth, and we should not take our freedoms for granted. Unfortunately, we see the continued challenge to basic human rights in many places around the world today. I am grateful for my time in the US Navy and feel honored to have worked with the men and women who served with me, those who serve today, and those who will serve in the future.”

“Veterans Day to me has always meant the opportunity to thank the men and women who have selflessly served our country, sacrificing time away from their families, friends and careers to keep our county and many around the world safe and at peace. However, since joining SPR, I have had the honor to help tell the stories of many of our pain patients who are Veterans. These patients continue to show their courage, sacrifice and dedication, during their struggles with pain and we are so proud to be able to help relieve their pain and get them back to living the lives they deserve. Today we salute and thank you all for your service!”
