SPR Therapeutics Maria Bennett was recently recognized as a Women of Influence honoree by the Cleveland Business Journal. The program recognizes women leading their industries in the Northeast Ohio region as well as being active in their community and charitable endeavors demonstrating influence in both their professional and personal lives. The publication featured Maria in a Q&A as part of the award discussing some of her leadership insights, professional advice, and personal interests.
As noted in her interview, Maria says the biggest challenge facing the medtech industry is “reimbursement from commercial insurance payers allowing patients to access new technology. Physician-led societies, industry and payers need to continue to work together to ensure patients have access to safe and effective technologies.”
